Honorable mentions:

• Los Angeles, California, USA – I love this city because it is where I grew up and where my parents still live. I don’t go a year without returning here, and it holds a very special place in my heart. But because I grew up here, I see it through different eyes than the other places I’ve only visited.
• Bend, Oregon, USA – Bend is such a magical city. This is the city where Nick and I met and first lived together! You can’t go wrong here with a visit in the winter or the summer. It is a very active town with a huge beer scene. Although hardish to get to, it is worth it. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

My top 5 travel wish list:

• Tokyo/Kyoto, Japan 
• Prague, Czech Republic
• Porto, Portugal
• Arusha, Tanzania  
• Machu Picchu, Peru
